Eight Significant verses of Srimad Bhagavad Gita

Aarsha Vidya Varshini is pleased to announce a free short-term online course on ‘Eight Significant verses of Srimad Bhagavad Gita’ which were selected by Parama Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati.

Bhagavad Gita reveals to us the true nature of oneself (Mokshashastra) and also the way to get qualified for knowing and assimilating this truth (Yogashastra). These eight verses cover the entire teaching of Bhagavad Gita which is universally applicable to all

The teachers who will be conducting the sessions are Jaishankar Narayanan and Kalyankumar Muthurajan. They are shishyas of Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati and have undergone long-term residential course with Swamiji at Arsha Vidya Gurukulam, on Vedanta and Sanskrit. All the sessions will be conducted online on the Zoom Platform in English. Those who wish to join the classes can send their contact details in a Whatsapp message to +919710946652.

There will be 6 classes of one hour each in total starting from 9th Jan 2021. The classes will be every Saturday from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm IST and every Sunday from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm IST, i.e. two classes per week for three weeks.

Jaishankar Narayanan

Jaishankar Narayanan is a sishya of Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati ji and has undergone a three-year residential Vedanta course with Pujya Swamiji at Arsha Vidya Gurukulam (AVG), Anaikatti, Coimbatore, India from 1995-1998. An alumnus of IIT-BHU Varanasi, Jaishankar graduated as an Engineer and was working in India and later USA as a Software Engineer. He met his Guru Pujya Swami Dayananda ji first at Arsha Vidya Gurukulam, Saylorsburg, PA at USA and then decided to study Vedanta with Pujya Swamiji. After completing the three-year residential course at AVG, Anaikatti, Jaishankar married Srividya who was also a student of the same course, as per Pujya Swamiji’s wishes. Jaishankar settled in Chennai after the course and has been teaching Vedanta and Samskritam to interested people in Chennai.

Kalyankumar Muthurajan

Kalyankumar is a sishya of Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati ji and has undergone a three-year residential Vedanta course with Pujya Swamiji at Arsha Vidya Gurukulam (AVG), Anaikatti, Coimbatore, India from 1995-1998. An alumnus of IIT-BHU Varanasi, Kalyankumar graduated as an Engineer and was working in India and later USA as a Software Engineer. A student of Ramakrishna Mission since early age, Kalyankumar was inspired by teachings Swami Vivekananda and Ramakrishna Paramahamsa when young. During the four years of stay at Varanasi, Kalyankumar was part of a student spiritual group called Vivekananda Nidhi through which he came in contact with gurus from many sampradayas like avadhoota sampradaya, shaaktha sampradaya, Aurobindo yoga etc. After many years of spiritual sadhana, he was blessed to meet his Guru Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswathiji at Arsha Vidya Gurukulam, Saylorsburg, PA in USA. Immediately, Kalyankumar decided to study Vedanta with Pujya Swamiji. After completing the three-year residential course at AVG, Anaikatti, Kalyankumar settled in Chennai and has been teaching Vedanta and Samskritam to interested people in Chennai.
