Online Vedanta camp by Swami Brahmavidananda

Aarsha Vidya foundation is organizing an online Vedanta camp by Swami Brahmavidananda ji.

About the camp:

1. What is the schedule for the camp?
Online schedule (IST) for the weekend of the camp
8 – 9 am Meditation and class
10 – 11.15 am Vedanta class
11.30 – 12.30 pm Vedanta class
4 – 6 pm Vedanta class (including Q&A in the last 30 minutes)

2. What do I need for the camp?
Good internet connection with Zoom application downloaded on our phone or laptop.
Pen and paper to make notes.
Headphones.

3. Any further instructions for classes?
It is recommended that you keep your video on because the teacher requires you to see you while teaching. However, if you have an intermittent connection you can keep the video off from time to time. Strictly mute yourself for the entire duration of the class. If you have a question please type in the chatbox or ask at the end of the class.

4. Will the classes be recorded?
All the classes will be video recorded and uploaded on the Aarsha Vidya foundation youtube channel in an unlisted category (available only to those who have the link). The link to the playlist will be sent to the ones who register for it.

5. What will be different in this camp?
It being an online camp the responsibility for scheduling the time between classes for home chores rests with the participants.
It is recommended that you have simple, easy to digest meals during the camp.

6. Which Vedanta text will be covered in the camp?
Hastamalaka stotram is a beautiful stotram by Hastamalaka, one of the four major disciplines of Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya. The clarity of his knowledge is as clear as an amla (gooseberry) on his palm. A pdf along with the Zoom link will be sent to registered participants by email, a few days before the camp. In case you don’t get it, please also look for it in your promotions or spam folder.

7. I don’t live in India. Can I still attend?
You can attend what is possible and catch up with the recordings later during the week.8. How do I register for the camp?

As earlier there are no charges for the camp. In the tradition, a guru dakshina (respectful offering) is made.

Swami Brahmavidananda

Swami Brahmavidananda Saraswati (formerly Acharya Ram Mohan) is a traditional and contemporary teacher of Vedanta. Having lived his life as a sadhu for about 30 years, he has facilitated the growth of many students in different parts of India. Formerly a marine engineer, Swamiji as a youth was inspired by H. H. Swami Chinmayananda. Swamiji studied Vedanta under H. H. Swami Dayananda Saraswati in the ancient Gurukulam system of learning. Later, he spent seven years at Rishikesh in the Himalayas, doing advanced studies in Vedanta under various traditional teachers like Swami Tarananda Giri and Swami Hari Hara Teertha. Since 1985, he has been based in Mumbai, unfolding the vision of Vedanta in his regular classes.
