Preparing for Self-Knowledge: Lessons from the Kaivalyopanishad (Evening Session)

The Kaivalya Upanishad is highly regarded as a salient treatise of self-knowledge. Sage Ashvalayana approaches Lord Prajapati and asks him for instruction on brahmavidyā. Prajapati responds by saying that one can gain self-knowledge by cultivating reverence towards the teacher and the shastra, devotion, and a contemplative mind. In this short weekend e-retreat, Swamini Svatmavidyananda will be examining Lord Prajapati’s response in detail with a view to assimilating the salient teachings of this Upanishad.

This is part of Advaita Academy’s weekend initiative ‘Weekend with Wisdom’.
