Valmiki Ramayan (Hindi)

Ramayan is one of the two major Sanskrit epics of ancient India, the other being the Mahābhārata. They both together form ‘Itihasa’. It narrates the life and struggle of Sri Rama, the prince of Ayodhya who was an Avatara of Bhagavan Vishnu. Ramayan is considered as ‘Adi-Kavya’, the first composition of poetry, and was composed by Maharishi Valmiki. It consists of nearly 24,000 verses spread across 500 Sargas (chapters).
