Ishavasya Upanishad – 13 by L Ramaswamy

The final Mantra of Ishavasya Upanishad is a prayer to Fire-god by the teacher and the taught. The appeal is to lead them in the good path towards Self without any deviation.

All efforts culminate in surrender. Surrender is transfer of responsibility from a refugee to his Lord. An ideal surrender has six facets. Vibheeshana’s surrender to Lord Rama is a perfect example of surrender. Guru aids an individual in his surrender and secures him with the Lord. Hanuman is symbol of a Guru in Ramayana as evidenced in various episodes.
